COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West will be represented by a record-matching six teams and two individuals in the 2024 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals, announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee on Wednesday.

The MW has sent at least three teams to the NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals in every year of its existence, with this year’s six selections matching the Conference record set in 2007 and equaled in 2010. The MW has advanced beyond the regional round in seven of the last eight NCAA postseasons.

Three league squads will compete at the West Lafayette Regional, with Colorado State, New Mexico and MW champion San Diego State teeing it up at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana. New Mexico, ranked No. 23 nationally, will be the No. 4 seed at the site. SDSU, ranked 35th nationally, is the No. 6 seed and Colorado State is the No. 11 seed. The Aztecs topped the Lobos in a playoff to cap a thrilling finish at the MW Men’s Golf Championship last week, with San Diego State pulling even with one hole to play in regulation before winning its third straight MW title and sixth overall on the first playoff hole.

New Mexico will be making its fifth straight regional appearance, while San Diego State will be making its fourth in a row. Colorado State, which finished third behind the Aztecs and Lobos at the MW championship, will be making its third straight NCAA regional appearance.

Two MW teams will compete at the Stanford Regional, which will be contested at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, California. Fresno State and UNLV will be the Nos. 9 and 10 seeds in the regional, respectively. The Bulldogs will be making their first NCAA appearance as members of the Mountain West and first since 2010, while the Rebels will be appearing in regional play for the first time since 2019.

San José State will compete at the Austin Regional, which will be contested at The University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. The Spartans return to NCAA postseason play for the first time since 2019.

Boise State’s Cole Rueck and Nevada’s Enrique Dimayuga will compete at the Stanford Regional as individuals. Dimayuga, who won three straight tournaments to finish the regular season, is the top-seeded individual of the five in the field. Rueck, who captured the MW championship at 7-under-par 209 for his first career title, is seeded fourth.

The NCAA regionals will be played from May 13-15 across six sites, which will determine the 30 teams and six individuals not on those qualifying teams who will advance to the finals. The 2024 national championships will be played May 25-29 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.
