The 2015 Mountain West Men's Golf Championship will be played on the Catalina Course at OMNI Tucson National (par 71, 7,144 yards) in Tucson, Ariz., May 1-3. It is the ninth consecutive year the tournament will be held at Tucson National.

All 11 Mountain West teams will participate in the 54-hole championship. Eighteen holes will be played each day (Friday-Sunday), with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. PT.

Two-time defending champion New Mexico enters the tournament ranked 21st according to Golfstat and in search of its sixth Mountain West title overall. UNLV is No. 31 and looking for its third overall championship and first since 2002. No. 32 San Diego State won back-to-back MW crowns in 2011 and 2012 and has finished as the runner-up on seven other occasions (2014, 2m013, 2010, 2009, 2006, 2003, 2001).

Individually, four MW golfers are ranked in the top 100 according to Golfstat. New Mexico senior Gavin Green leads the way at No. 6, followed by San Diego State senior Xander Schauffele at No. 22, UNLV freshman John Oda at No. 24 and San José State junior Cody Blick at No. 42.

Eight of last year's top-10 individual finishers return in 2015, led by defending medalist and senior Gavin Green of New Mexico. In 2014, Green (70-69-70) and San Diego State's Riccardo Michelini (68-71-70) completed the 54-hole tournament with identical scores of 4-under 209. Michelini bogeyed the first playoff hole (18th), while Green made par to win the individual title. Green is one of four New Mexico golfers to garner MW medalist honors, joining Michael Letzig in 2003, Jay Choi in 2006 and Steve Saunders in 2009.

UNLV's Carl Jonson finished third in 2014 at 3-under 210, while Xander Schauffele of San Diego State tied for fifth with a 1-under 212 and New Mexico's Sean Romero posted an even-par 213 to tie for seventh. Colorado State's Dominic Kieffer, SDSU's Nahum Mendoza III and New Mexico's Sam Saunders tied for 10th at 2-over 216.
