Twenty-One MW Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Twenty-one Mountain West student-athletes were among the 758 collegiate golfers recognized for their scholastic achievements when the Womens Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its list of 2014-15 All-American Scholars for Division I, II & III.
New Mexico led the MW contingent for the second straight year with five honorees, followed by Boise State with four and Nevada and Wyoming with three apiece. Fresno State and UNLV had two representatives each, while Colorado State and San Diego State had one from their respective rosters.
The criteria for selection to the All-America Scholar teams includes carrying a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and also having competed in at least 50 percent (Division I) or 66 percent (Division II and III) of their school’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
