COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada swept this week’s Mountain West softball weekly honors. Senior right fielder Gabby Herrera was tabbed the MW Softball Player of the Week, while fellow senior Tyra Clary was named the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week and rookie left fielder Bailie Clark garnered the MW Softball Freshman of the Week nod.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

GABBY HERRERA, NEVADA

Senior, Outfielder, Linden, California/Oregon

  • Helped the Wolf Pack to a 5-0 week with wins over New Mexico and Saint Mary’s.
  • Recorded a .714 batting average, .706 on-base percentage and a 1.571 slugging percentage over the course of the five games, starting all five.
  • Notched three home runs, five runs, 10 RBIs and three doubles.
  • Logged six putouts in right field.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

TYRA CLARY, NEVADA

Senior, RHP, Reno, Nevada/San Diego

  • Went 2-0 and logged a 0.00 ERA, delivering six strikeouts and giving up only one unearned run in 9.2 innings in the circle.
  • Allowed two hits in 4.2 innings in a 11-3 win over Saint Mary’s, striking out five.
  • Pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout for the Wolf Pack in a 10-0 five-inning win over New Mexico.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

BAILIE CLARK, NEVADA

Outfielder, Jamestown, California/ Calaveras HS

  • Logged her first career home run in game two of the Saint Mary’s series.
  • Recorded a .727 batting average, a .786 on-base percentage and a 1.182 slugging percentage.
  • Had six runs off of eight hits, including two doubles and a home run, while also stealing four bases.
  • Tallied four putouts for the Wolf Pack from left field.
