FORT COLLINS – Colorado State’s head men’s basketball coach Niko Medved was awarded the Skip Prosser Man of the Year award on Thursday by CollegeInsider.com. The award goes to the Division I coach who wins with integrity on and off the court each year.

Medved led CSU to a 25-11 record in 2023-24 helping CSU earn its second NCAA Tournament appearance in the past three years. The Rams picked up the program’s fifth NCAA Tournament win in program history when they defeated Virginia in the First Four 67-42.

In his six years in Fort Collins, Medved has won 117 games leading CSU to the NCAA Tournament twice (2022, 2024), had a first team All-Mountain West selection every year and produced a first round NBA Draft pick in David Roddy.

The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award is named after the late Wake Forst, Xavier and Loyola (Md.) coach.
