BERKELEY, Calif.—Jada Mazury won two events and recorded the highest individual score at Round One of the NCA Berkeley Regional on Thursday as the Spartans scored a 195.500 in a dual with Southern Utah who scored a 195.525 at Haas Pavilion.

  • Mazury won the floor as she tied her career best with a 9.950 and tied for first on bars with a 9.850.
  • She will compete Friday night in Session Two of Round Two of the regional on bars and floor.
  • Lauren Macpherson won the vault with a 9.850, just her second vault title of the season.
  • She will compete Friday night as an all-around competitor in Session Two.
  • Katherine Weyhmiller won the beam with a 9.875, winning her third beam title of the season.
  • She will compete Friday night in Session Two as a beam specialist.
  • Jaudai Lopes won the all-around with a 39.150.
  • The Spartans scored a 49.450 on floor, tying for the third-best team score on floor in school history.
  • Mazury led SJSU with her 9.950, followed by Mia Nelson at 9.900, Macpherson and Lopes at 9.875, Weyhmiller at 9.850 and Natasha Forrand at 9.800.

UP NEXT – Macpherson, Mazury and Weyhmiller will compete Friday night at 7 p.m. in Session Two of Round Two of the NCAA Berkeley Regional in Haas Pavilion. The meet will be shown live on ESPN+.
