COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nevada Men’s Golfer Enrique Dimayuga continued to write history this weekend, recording a 54-hole score of 213 (E) to earn a first-place finish at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, marking the senior’s third consecutive individual title.

Dimayuga was the first golfer in program history to win two straight titles; and he now stands alone again as the only Wolf Pack golfer to claim three consecutive individual championships. Dimayuga is also the first Nevada Men’s Golfer to earn three individual titles in a single season, and he is one of two golfers in program history to have three or more championships throughout their career.

Dimayuga opened the event with his best round of the tournament, carding a 69 (-2) in the first round on Friday. He recorded 12 pars, three birdies, and one eagle across the first set of 18 holes, entering the second round tied for fourth on the leaderboard.

Dimayuga proceeded to card a 71 (E) on Saturday, placing him in sole possession of second place entering the third and final round on Sunday.

Dimayuga trailed the leader by one stroke heading into the final set of 18 holes; and he once again showed exceptional poise and grit in the final round. In difficult weather conditions, the senior recorded a score of 73 (+1) across the final round, as he went on to secure his third consecutive individual title by one stroke.

Beginning the final round on the 10th hole, Dimayuga tallied two straight pars to open the round. He picked up a bogey on the 12th hole; however, managed to bounce back with a birdie on the next hole. Dimayuga then tallied two consecutive bogeys, but once again managed to bounce back, as he earned another birdie on the 16th hole. The senior then reeled off 10 consecutive bars, before posting a bogey on the final hole, as he completed the day with a score of 73.

Dimayuga is playing at a sensational level this spring for Nevada, and he will aim to carry over his success to the Mountain West Championships next week, as the Pack is slated to begin play in the conference tournament at Emerald Valley Golf Club on Friday, April 26.
