COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West will be represented by two teams and three individuals in the 2024 NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals, announced by the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee on Wednesday. The MW has sent multiple teams to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals in each year the Regionals have been contested since 2014.

MW champion San José State will be heading to the Cle Elum Regional Site as the No. 5 seed at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Washington. The Spartans swept the team and individual titles at the MW Women’s Golf Championship last week at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course in Rancho Mirage, California, with SJSU turning in an 18-stroke win for their second team title in three years and Kajsa Arwefjäll claiming a three-stroke victory for her fourth career top-10 finish at the MW championship. The Spartans are ranked 25th nationally and will be making their fifth consecutive NCAA regionals appearance.

Colorado State earned an at-large team bid and will compete as the No. 9 seed in the Las Vegas Regional at Spanish Trail Country Club. The 52nd-ranked Rams finished third at the MW championship and will be making their first NCAA regional appearance since 2010.

UNLV’s Toa Yokoyama and New Mexico’s Lauren Lehigh and Myah McDonald will all compete at the Las Vegas Regional as individuals. Of the six individuals at the site, Yokoyama is the top seed, with Lehigh following at No. 2 and McDonald at No. 4.

Regional play will take place May 6-8 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by University of Texas at Austin, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.
