LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The New Mexico women’s golf team had two players conclude their season at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional on Wednesday as the final round was held at Spanish Trail Golf Club. Lauren Lehigh and Myah McDonald both finished in the top 20, but neither advanced to the NCAA Championship.

In tough conditions, Lehigh shot a final round 75 to finish the tournament at 5-over, T-20th on the individual leaderboard. McDonald posted a final 78 to also end the event T-20th at 5-over.

“It was a difficult day, managing the high winds,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “The birdies didn’t come like we wanted, but these two women played with a lot of heart. I’m extremely proud to be their coach”

Lehigh capped her final season as a Lobo by setting the UNM single season scoring record at 71.67. She also set the single season school record with 23 rounds of par or better this year.
