American Sports Network Returns as Broadcast Partner for NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl

TUCSON, Ariz. -  In an agreement that is anticipated to bring its post-season college football game to more than 65 million homes across the United States, the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl has tapped American Sports Network (ASN) as its television broadcast partner for the December 30, 2016 game. A division of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., ASN will televise the game live across many of Sinclair’s television stations, stations of other television broadcasters, and regional sports networks in more than 100 markets.

"Our strategic partnership with ASN is a critical element of our game plan to maximize the broadcast potential of this bowl,” said Mike Feder, executive director of the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl. “Working with ASN last year in our inaugural game showed us what a critical difference their reach can make, and we look forward to building on that success this year by tapping into a growing affiliate marketplace.”

ASN intends to arrange coverage on western market television stations, such as Tucson, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver, and San Diego, and others throughout the country through syndication agreements with other broadcasters. In addition, ASN will air the broadcast in Sinclair markets such as Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and dozens of other Sinclair markets across the country. The list of stations that will carry the game, which will be updated as more come on board, will soon be available on NOVAArizonaBowl.com.

While ASN will manage the television broadcast, Campus Insiders will return this year as the bowl’s digital media partner. Campus Insiders will produce the game and stream the event live, making it available to millions of fans across the nation through their distribution network including CampusInsiders.com, Campus Insiders mobile and tablet apps, as well as various streaming applications and connected devices. A complete listing of where fans can watch Campus Insiders’ digitally enhanced stream of the game will be announced at a later date.

“Working with Campus Insiders ensures us that the bowl’s online presence is effectively amplified,” said Feder, “as they leverage their creative and technological resources to keep the game and its associated events relevant and rewarding for our valued digital audience.”
