Five MW Student-Athletes Garner CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer Honors
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2015 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Women’s Soccer Teams have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The Mountain West is represented by five student-athletes on the list, including two first-team honorees and three second-team players.
New Mexico’s Cassie Ulrich and Laurel Ramer of Wyoming both earned spots on the District 7 First Team. Ulrich owns a 4.08 GPA as an exercise science major, while Ramer boasts a 4.00 GPA in pre-pharmacy.
Also in District 7, the Lobos’ Alyssa Coonrod and Ally Swift of Air Force each landed on the second team. An exercise science major, Coonrod holds a 3.66 GPA, while Swift owns a 3.40 GPA as a biology major.
In District 8, Fresno State’s Peyton Cline earned inclusion on the second team thanks to a 4.00 GPA as a kinesiology/exercise science major.
First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
