COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four Mountain West baseball student-athletes were named to the 2015 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Team, chosen by Collegiate Baseball, today. The group includes seniors Austin Byler and Kewby Meyer of Nevada, junior Taylor Ward of Fresno State and junior Tyler France of San Diego State.

Byler, a first baseman, and France, a third baseman, are two of the four returning first team All-Mountain West players in the 2015 season. France is the top returning hitter in the league at .356, while Byler hit .326 and led the MW in home runs with 14. Byler turned down a minor league opportunity (ninth round pick in the 2014 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals) to return to the Wolf Pack for his senior season.

Meyer and Ward were members of the All-MW second team in 2014. Meyer, an outfielder, hit .328, leading the league in doubles with 27. Ward, a catcher, was a member of the 2014 USA Baseball Collegiate National team and hit .320 for the Bulldogs last season.

The 2015 collegiate baseball season begins Friday, Feb. 13.
