Fresno State's Schwanz wins 6K white race at Pre-National Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – As the lone Fresno State runner competing on Saturday at the Pre-National Invitational, Annemarie Schwanz continued to add to a stellar season as she won the women's 6K white race with a time of 20:48.5. It was her first win of the season after placing third in the previous two meets.
 
Against one the deepest field's she has competed against this year, the Bulldog senior won the race by 7.5 seconds. The meet was a tune-up for the NCAA Championships next month at the LaVerne Gibson Championship XC Course in Terre Haute, Ind. 

Fresno State will now turn its attention to the Mountain West Championships in Boise, Idaho on Oct. 28.
