COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Learfield named veteran sales and media executive Jamie McIntosh general manager for its Mountain West Sports Properties team.
Having built a 25-year career in Colorado, McIntosh comes to MW from serving nearly four years as vice president and general sales manager for ROOT SPORTS Rocky Mountain Regional a division of the DIRECTV Sports Group, where he was integral in creating significant sports sponsorships, sales strategies, and leading local and national sales teams. Prior to that, he served 10 years as national sales manager for FOX Sports Net Rocky Mountain, developing client relationships and exceeding sales goals. McIntosh also previously served nearly 10 years with KDVR-FOX 31 in Denver, as an account executive creating and managing sports sales packages with the NFL, MLB and NHL.
As Mountain West Sports Properties General Manager, McIntosh will lead all communication between Learfield and the Conference, as well as continue to build the MW corporate partner platform. In addition to representing the Conference, Learfield is aligned with the league through individual rights agreements with nine of its 12 member institutions–Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State University, Utah State and Wyoming.
“Jamie is a well-respected, senior leader who has certainly made his mark here in our home state, and we’re excited to have him representing our brand exclusively moving forward,” said Mountain West Senior Associate Commissioner Dan Butterly.

“Given his deep connections in Colorado, love of sports and passion for this industry, we couldn’t be more pleased with welcoming Jamie to lead our Mountain West Sports Properties team,” said Learfield Vice President Kyle Denzel. “His prior experience will be a tremendous asset to what we’re doing in step with the Conference, and we know he’ll make an immediate impact.”
