COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico, host of the 2015 Mountain West Tennis Championships, earned the top-seed in the men’s bracket by virtue of clinching the regular-season title on Saturday. The Lobos, ranked No. 41 in the nation, were 6-1 in MW play this season, 19-9 overall.

The 2015 MW Men’s Tennis Championship will be held April 23-26 at the McKinnon Family Tennis Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Quarterfinal action begins Thursday, April 23 at 9 a.m. MT, with the semifinals on Saturday, April 25 at 9 a.m. and Noon. The championship match will be played on Sunday, April 26 at 11 a.m. MT. All matches at the 2015 MW Tennis Championships will be broadcast live and for free on the Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders.

Utah State, ranked No. 62, claimed the No. 2 seed with a 5-2 record in league play, 17-8 overall. San Diego State is the No. 3 seed. The No. 38 Aztecs finished the regular-season with a 5-2 Conference record and 17-7 overall mark. The Aggies earned the second seed based on its head-to-head victory over the Aztecs.

With a 4-3 MW record (16-9 overall), Fresno State will be the No. 4 seed, while Boise State, the three-time defending MW tournament champion, garners the No. 5 seed. The Bulldogs defeated the Broncos 4-3 in the regular-season. The Broncos enter the 2015 MW Men’s Tennis Championship 4-3 in MW action, 11-15 overall. UNLV (3-4, 13-9), Nevada (1-6, 6-15) and Air Force (0-7, 10-11) complete the bracket as the No. 6, 7 and 8 seeds, respectively.

All eight teams will be in action on April 23, with second-seeded Utah State and No. 7 Nevada kicking off the quarterfinal round at 9 a.m. MT. At Noon MT, No. 3 San Diego State takes on No. 6 UNLV. The winner of those two contests will meet in Saturday’s semifinal round. At 3 p.m. MT, No. 4 Boise State and No. 5 Fresno State square off and top-seeded New Mexico and No. 8 Air Force close out the quarterfinal round at 6 p.m. MT. The Boise State-Fresno State and New Mexico-Air Force winners will meet in the other semifinal contest.
