Mountain West Announces Men's Tennis Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State sophomore Jaime Barajas has been named Mountain West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played January 29-31. It is the second career MW weekly honor for Barajas. 

MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAIME BARAJAS, UTAH STATE
Sophomore, Woodland Hills, California / El Camino Real HS
Posted a combined 4-0 record in singles and doubles play to help lead Utah State to wins against Grand Canyon (7-0) and Idaho State (7-0) on January 31. 
Against Grand Canyon, defeated reigning WAC Player of the Week, Mitch Maroscher, in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. 
Finished the week 2-0 in the No. 1 singles position with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Idaho State’s Sebastian Edin. 
Partnered with Samuel Serrano in the No. 3 doubles spot to defeat Grand Canyon’s Mathieu Rajoonah and Mathieu Ounanian, 6-2, and Mitch Steadman and Francis Filipovich of Idaho State, 6-2.
