Mountain West Announces Men's Tennis Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico junior Hayden Sabatka has been named Mountain West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played February 26-28. It is the third career MW weekly honor for Sabatka.

HAYDEN SABATKA, NEW MEXICO
Junior, Denver, Colorado / Insight School of Colorado
  • Helped lead New Mexico to a 2-0 week with a pair of home victories over DePaul (6-1) and No. 53 Utah (7-0) on February 26. 
  • Went a combined 3-0 in singles and doubles play for the week. 
  • Posted a 2-0 mark in the No. 1 singles position, defeating DePaul’s Sten Leusink (6-2, 6-2) and Matt Cowley of Utah (7-5, 2-6, 6-4). 
  • Teamed up with Bart Van Leijsen to down DePaul’s No. 1 doubles’ duo of Paul John and Connor O’Meara (6-2).
