Mountain West Announces Men's Tennis Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State senior Thomas Tenreiro has been named Mountain West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played April 15-17. It is the third MW weekly honor of his career.  

Senior, Miami, Florida / Institute of Caracas
  • Helped lead Boise State to a pair of victories over Mountain West foes San Diego State, 4-1, and UNLV, 4-1, on April 15 and April 17, respectively. 
  • Went a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles play in the two home wins.
  • Recorded a 2-0 mark at No. 2 singles and a 2-0 record with partner Lewis Roskilly at No. 2 doubles.
  • Against San Diego State’s Hendrik Jebens, rallied from down 5-1 in the first set to win in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7), before closing out the match with a 6-2 victory in set number two.
  • Defeated UNLV’s Alexandr Cozbinov in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. 
  • Teamed with Roskilly to knock off the Aztecs’ Santiago Cevallos and Milen Ianakiev, 6-4, and the Rebels’ Evaldo Neto and Adam Gage-Brown, 6-4.
