Mountain West Qualifies 139 Student-Athletes for 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships West Preliminary
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – One hundred and thirty-nine Mountain West student-athletes have qualified to compete in the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships West Preliminary on May 28-30 in Austin, Texas.
To earn a spot in the regional, competitors had to rank in the region’s top-48 of their event. The top-12 finishers at the West Regional will join the top-12 finishers from the East Regional at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon.
Utah State senior Chari Hawkins has already qualified for the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the Heptathlon. There is no regional qualifier for the combined events, with the top-24 individuals in the national rankings advancing on to Eugene.
