San Diego State, Fresno State Receive Votes In Softball National Poll

San Diego State earned six votes and Fresno State one vote in the latest Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll. The Aztecs are off to a 7-2 start in 2015, including a perfect 4-0 mark and tournament title at last week's 25th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic in San Diego, California. The Bulldogs are 7-3 this season and posted a 3-2 record at the Fresno State Kick-Off last week.

San José State's Hufstetler and San Diego State's Romero Earn MW Player & Pitcher Of The Week Honors

San José State’s Jessie Hufstetler has been named Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while San Diego State's Erica Romero earned the MW Pitcher of Week honors for games held Feb. 12-15. It is the second career MW weekly accoladefor Hufstetler and first for Romero.

Hufstetler went 10-for-16 (.625) at the plate with four home runs and 16 RBIs as the Spartans posted a 4-1 record at the Hillenbrand Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.

Romero compiled a 4-0 record to lead San Diego State to the tournament title at the Aztec-hosted 25th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic in San Diego, California.

Colorado State's Molly Randle Throws League's First No-Hitter Of 2015

Colorado State pitcher Molly Randle didn't allow a hit in six innings of work, becoming the first Ram pitcher to toss a no-hitter since 2010 as Colorado State defeated IPFW 10-0 (six innings) on Feb. 14. It is the first no-hitter thrown by a Mountain West pitcher this season.

SDSU's Lorena Bauer Is School's All-Time RBI Leader

San Diego State senior Lorena Bauer became the school's all-time RBI leader on Feb. 12 in the Aztecs' 6-1 victory over North Dakota State. Bauer singled home a run in the first inning and added an RBI double in the third to break Patrice Jackson's record of 139. Bauer now has 142 career RBIs.
