San Diego State's Bauer and Colorado State's Harrington Named MW Player And Pitcher Of The Week
San Diego State's Lorena Bauer has been named Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while the Colorado State's Trinity Harrington earned MW Pitcher of Week honors for games held March 23-29. It is the third career MW weekly accolade for Bauer and first for Harrington.
Bauer went 7-for-9 (.778) with four home runs, nine RBIs, a double and two walks to guide San Diego State to a road series sweep of Conference foe Boise State last week. She belted three home runs in the Aztecs' 16-2 win on Saturday, equaling the MW single-game record and setting a new SDSU record. Her seven RBIs also established a new school single-game mark.
In Colorado State’s only contest of the week, Harrington threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout to lead the Rams to a 6-0 victory over intra-state foe Northern Colorado last Wednesday.
