Mountain West Softball Weekly Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After taking two out of three games from Colorado State last weekend, Utah State maintains its position atop the Mountain West softball standings with four weeks remaining in the regular season. At 27-10 overall and 10-4 in Conference play, the Aggies are one game up in the loss column on both San José State (27-14, 7-5 MW) and San Diego State (23-14, 7-5 MW).
Colorado State (21-15, 7-8 MW), Fresno State (25-17, 5-6 MW) and Utah State are all scheduled to play midweek nonconference games. The Rams travel to face Northern Colorado on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs and Aggies challenge UC Santa Barbara and Weber State, respectively, on Wednesday.
This weekend’s league matchups feature New Mexico (19-18, 5-7 MW) at Utah State, San Diego State at Boise State (24-15, 6-9 MW), UNLV (21-19, 4-8 MW) at Colorado State and San José State at Fresno State.
Nevada has the weekend off from MW action and will play a nonconference series at Kansas, beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. CT.
