San José State's Schultz and Fresno State's Compton Named MW Player And Pitcher Of The Week

San José State's Nicole Schultz has been named Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while Fresno State’s Jill Compton earned the MW Pitcher of Week honors for games held April 13-19. It is the first MW weekly accolade of Schultz’ career. Compton earns her fifth weekly honor this season, third consecutive, and eighth of her career.

Schultz Went 5-for-6 (.833) at the plate with three runs scored, three RBIs, two doubles, one walk and one hit-by-pitch as the Spartans went 3-0 last week with a Conference sweep of Utah State.
