COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second-consecutive season, Fresno State (37-9-1, 18-0 MW) has earned the Mountain West title and the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs clinched the championship last weekend with a road sweep of San José State. Fresno State, which is ranked No. 20 in the latest USA Today/NFCA poll and No. 18 in the Softball rankings, travels to Nevada (30-12, 8-7 MW) this weekend for a three-game series with the Wolf Pack.

San José State (22-24 overall) sits in second place in the Conference standings with an 11-7 record. The Spartans are at Boise State (13-33, 5-13 MW) for a three-game set, beginning on Friday.

The remaining two weekend series feature Colorado State (19-24, 5-12 MW) at UNLV (23-26, 7-11 MW) and San Diego State (26-20, 8-10 MW) on the road at New Mexico (22-21, 7-10 MW). Prior to their series with the Aztecs, the Lobos host nonconference rival New Mexico State in a midweek tilt on Wednesday.
