Bulldogs Cap Season Against BYU
EUGENE, Ore. (GoBulldogs.com) - The Fresno State softball team took the field last Friday against Brigham Young University (BYU) for the second game of the day hosted at Howe Field. After falling 4-0 to No. 24 North Dakota State on Thursday afternoon the Bulldogs capped its season being edged 8-7 by the Cougars on the second day of the 2015 Eugene Regional.
"(It) is obviously a tough way to finish our season but I think we showed a much better fight today and hats off to BYU," head coach Trisha Ford said. "We came up a little short today but we had a lot of loud outs and the ball just didn't go our way. Today was much more what we are about and for us it's important to continue to build the rich tradition of Fresno State softball. Oregon has done a fantastic job hosting the Eugene Regional, everyone has been phenomenal and very helpful, it was very well organized and first class."
Fresno State opened the Eugene Regional with a 4-0 loss to North Dakota State.
