Mountain West Suspends Colorado State Football Student-Athlete

 

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State sophomore tight end Nolan Peralta has been issued a half-game suspension for targeting and initiating forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of the helmet, in accordance with NCAA Football Playing Rule 9-1-3, during the Colorado State at Nevada game on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Peralta will be prohibited from participating in the first half of the Rams' next football game, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 vs. Utah State.

The disciplinary action is a result of the weekly review conducted by the Mountain West office of all player safety fouls and falls under NCAA Football Playing Rule 9-6-2. The Mountain West will have no further comment regarding this matter.
