Colorado State remains the only undefeated teams in Mountain West league action at 12-0. The Rams host Utah State at 7 p.m. MT on Wednesday, February 17 on the Mountain West Network.
Colorado State is off to the second-best start in school history at 22-1 overall, trailing only the 1998-99 team that recorded a 31-1 record, the winningest team in the history of the Rams' women's program. The current 12-game win streak is the tied for second-longest in school history.
Colorado State is earning votes in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the fifth week in a row and made its receiving-votes debut in the USA Today Sports Top 25 Coaches Poll.
In addition to her 1,000 career points, San José State senior Riana Byrd became the newest MW player to join 1,000 career-rebounds club on Saturday, February 13 with nine rebounds in a 59-58 win over New Mexico. She is the second Spartan to reach the mark and only the second to join the 1,000/1,000 club.
Utah State sophomore Funda Nakkasoglu became the youngest Aggie to reach the 1,000-career point club on Wednesday, February 10. She is just the ninth Aggie to have scored 1,000 career points in just 53 career games.
