Mountain West Women's Basketball Weekly Release
No. 22/23 Colorado State remains the only undefeated team in Mountain West league action at 16-0. The Rams clinched a share of the 2015-16 MW regular season title on Saturday with a 74-56 win against Nevada. The Rams face the current second-place team in the MW, Fresno State, on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 p.m. MT at Moby Arena. The game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
Colorado State is ranked tied for 22nd in this week's Associated Press and 23 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches polls.
Colorado State continues to extend the second-best start in school history at 26-1 overall, trailing only the 1998-99 team that recorded a 31-1 record, the winningest team in the history of the Rams' women's program. CSU's 23-game win streak is the second-longest in school history and the currently the second-most active in the nation behind UConn's 66-game win streak and just two games ahead of Notre Dame's 21-game streak.

Fresno State sophomore Bego Faz Davalos set a Mountain West single-season record on Wednesday, February 24 with her 106th blocked shot of the year. The mark surpasses former UNM player Jordan Adams' record of 105 set in 2000-01. Faz Davalos also tied the MW Conference games-only blocked shots single season record on Saturday, February 27 with her 70th stop of the season. She set the standard last season in Conference play. Faz Davalos currently ranks No. 1 in the nation in blocked shots per game at 4.15.
