Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State junior Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played from March 2–9. This is Bjorgvinsdottir’s first career MW golfer of the month/week accolade.

  • Competed in one event, leading the Bulldogs to a first-place finish in the Fresno State Classic, played on the 6,119-yard, par 72 San Joaquin Country Club.
  • Tied for second in the 82-player field.
  • Set a program record with a two-round score of 139 (5-under), including a career-best 68 in the opening round, which is tied as the fifth-best single-round score in school history.
  • Led the Bulldogs with nine birdies, and was four-under on the back-nine and one-under on the front nine. On the week, the course averaged 76.77 strokes per round.
