Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State junior Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played from March 21-23. This is Bjorgvinsdottir’s second career MW golfer of the month/week accolade.

  • Competed in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kane’ohe, Hawaii, finishing tied for 13th after carding a four-over 220 on the par 72, 6,099-yard Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course.
  • Was six-over-par on the first 14 holes, before shooting two-under-par on the next 40 holes.
  • Led Fresno State with 10 birdies.
  • Helped lead the Bulldogs to a sixth-place finish among the 16-team field, which included eight top-100 teams and eight top-100 individuals.
  • Has finished top 15 in each of the Bulldogs’ last three events.
