Mountain West Women's Soccer Weekly Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Entering week three of the 2016 Mountain West women’s soccer season, UNLV holds the Conference’s top record at 4-0. The Rebels, who are one of just 13 teams in the nation to hold an unblemished mark through four matches, are off to their best start to a season in program history. UNLV is on the road this weekend for matchups with preseason WAC co-favorite Utah Valley on Friday and Southern Utah on Sunday.
In total, there are 17 matches on the schedule this week, including 16 road tilts. Nevada hosts UC Irvine on Thursday at 1 p.m. PT in the lone home contest of the week for an MW squad.
San José State, at 2-1-1 overall, has posted three shutouts in four matches this season. The Spartans return to the pitch on Sunday at Cal State Fullerton. Wyoming also holds a 2-1-1 record heading into weekend tilts at UTEP and New Mexico State on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
