Mountain West Women's Soccer Weekly Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Mountain West women’s soccer opens the lid on Conference action this weekend with 12 matches. Play begins on Friday, September 25 with six matches and wraps up for the week on Sunday, September 27 with six more contests.
Both Wyoming (4-1-3) and Utah State (5-3-1) enter the weekend with unblemished home records. Wyoming holds a 4-0-0 mark at the Madrid Sports Complex this season and has won 10 in a row overall at home dating back to 2013. The Cowgirls host San José State on Friday, September 25 and Fresno State on Sunday, September 27. Utah State is also 4-0-0 at home this season and 12-2-0 in its last 14 matches contested at Chuck and Gloria Bell Field. The Aggies host New Mexico on Friday, September 25 and San Diego State on Sunday, September 27.
UNLV (5-4-0), Nevada (3-4-1) and Utah State are all riding two-game win streaks heading into the weekend. The Rebels play host to Air Force on Friday, September 25 and Colorado College on Sunday, September 27. The Wolf Pack welcome Colorado College and Air Force to Mackay Stadium on Friday, September 25 and Sunday, September 27, respectively. The Aggies host New Mexico on Friday, September 25 and San Diego State on Sunday, September 27.
Push for Four
Three-time defending Mountain West champion San Diego State begins league play on the road at Boise State on Friday, September 25 and at Utah State on Sunday, September 27. The Aztecs are 16-1 in regular-season road conference games since the beginning of the 2011 season and are unbeaten in their last six Conference openers (4-0-2).
