Mountain West Women's Volleyball Weekly Release
UNLV goes into the third week of the season as the only Mountain West women's volleyball team that remains undefeated. The Rebels put their 6-0 mark to the test on the road at the Islanders Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 9-10.
UNLV began receiving votes in this week's AVCA Top 25 for the first time in the 2016 season. The last time the Rebels received votes in the Coaches Poll was October 20, 2008.
Milestones: Boise State junior Sierra Nobley became the 50th Mountain West player to reach the 1,000-kill career milestone. Nobley reached the mark in 64 matches, the quickest in MW and Boise State history. She is the 14th Bronco all-time to reach 1,000 kills and is just the second Bronco to hit 1,000 kills as a junior ... Fresno State senior libero Maggie Eppright currently ranks 12th on the Mountain West career digs list with 1,465. She needs 106 digs to move into the Top 10.
Top 10 Attacks: Three Mountain West players rank 4-5-6 on the league's career attack percentage list. Boise State junior Kaitlyn Oliver is fourth at .384, while Bronco senior Maddy O'Donnell is fifth with a .371 attack percentage. Wyoming senior Laura Beach rounds out the group in sixth place with a .365 percentage.
