Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State sophomore Sirene Blair has been selected Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week for tournaments played March 2 - 11. The product of South Jordan, Utah, collects her second Golfer of the Week/Month accolade of the season and fourth of her career.

  • Tied for second place at the Bruin Wave Invitational from March 2 – 3 earning her third top-five finish of the season and sixth top-10 placement of her career.
  • Carded a 5-over-par 221 (73-75-73) on the par 72, 6,173-yard El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif.
  • Drained nine birdies across the 54-hole event, including six in the opening two rounds that were hampered by damp and rainy conditions. Also recorded 32 holes at par or better.
  • Bested 14 golfers in the field who are currently ranked in the Golfstat top 100.
  • Helped San Diego State to a fourth-place finish among the field of 15 squads that included nine teams ranked in the Golfstat top 50.
  • Currently ranks sixth in the league with a 73.94 stroke average.
