CSU In Top 10: Colorado State remains at No. 7 in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll for the third week in a row. The Rams have made 67 appearances in the top 10 over the program’s history, ranking 19th among all Division I programs.

Two Remain Undefeated: No. 7 Colorado State and New Mexico remain as the only two undefeated teams in MW play at 4-0. The Rams are starting 4-0 for the sixth time in the past seven seasons, while the Lobos are 4-0 for the first time in MW history.

Air Force Off To Best Start In Conference Play: Air Force is off to its best start in Conference action at 3-1 since moving up to Division I in 1996. The Falcons split matches with Boise State (3-1) and Utah State (2-3) last week after starting MW play at 2-0.

Road Wins: Colorado State looks to extend its true road win streak of 23 matches when it travels to Laramie on October 7. The Rams recently pushed their overall regular season win streak away from Moby Arena to 28 with wins at Utah State and Boise State in late September.

Finally Home: Fresno State finally played its first regular-season match of the season in the Save Mart Center on October 2 against Nevada. The Bulldogs had been on the road for 16 consecutive matches to start the 2014 season.

Keltner Catching Up To No. 1: Air Force senior Hillary Keltner is 65 assists away from becoming the Falcons’ Division I era career assists leader. She has 3,553 assists heading into the October 9 match at UNLV.

Lea‘ea Reaches 1,000 Kills: Nevada senior Tessa Lea‘ea posted a career-high 24 kills against Fresno State in a 3-2 win on October 2. During the match, she became the 11th player in Wolf Pack history to record 1,000 career kills. She currently has 1,020 kills. The win was Nevada’s first in a conference road opener since 2008.

Neves & Rogers-Court Reaching For Second On USU Career Lists: Utah State senior Paige Neves needs 237 assists to take over the No. 2 spot on the Aggies career assists list. Carrie Stevenson (1988-91) currently holds that place with 3,942 assists. Neves currently has 3,706 assists. Classmate Ashlan Rogers-Court is in third on the career digs list with 1,455. She needs 160 to grab the No. 2 spot held by Kelsi Peterson (1,614; 2003-06).

Kirby Closing In On MW Career Blocks Title: Wyoming senior Erin Kirby is currently second in the Mountain West with 648 career total blocks. Kirby is just 23 blocks away from taking the league title from Utah’s Kim Turner (670; 2000-03).

Senior CLASS Award: Wyoming middle blocker Erin Kirby has been selected as a candidate for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award in collegiate volleyball. Kirby is one of 30 student-athletes named to the list. Candidates must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition. CLASS is the acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®.
