CSU In Top 10: Colorado State remained at No. 9 in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll this week. The Rams have made 73 appearances in the top 10 over the program’s history, ranking 19th among all Division I teams.
Three With 20 Wins: Colorado State has recorded 20 wins for the 20th consecutive season. Entering the year, the streak ranked fifth in the nation. UNLV became the second MW team to reach the 20-win mark this season after a 3-1 victory over then-No. 7 Colorado State on November 1. It was the Rebels’ first win in program history over a Top-10 opponent. Wyoming is the third team to 20 victories after beating Fresno State 3-0 on November 8.
Rams On Verge Of Six Consecutive Titles: Colorado State is on the verge of earning its sixth consecutive Mountain West championship. Hawai‘i is the only other team in the nation to have won its past five conference titles. The Rainbow Wahine are currently in third place in the Big West.
Riddle Closing In On Records: New Mexico senior Chantale Riddle currently has 1,580 career kills and became the Lobos’ all-time kill leader on November 15, passing Tania Gooley’s (1991-94) record of 1,579. Gooley was inducted into the UNM Hall of Honor on November 6. Riddle is 41 kills from surpassing the Mountain West record of 1,620 set by Utah’s Kim Turner (2000-03). She set the UNM points record on November 8 and currently has 1,864. Riddle needs 202 points to break Turner’s MW record 2,065 points.
Coaching Milestones: San Diego State head coach Deidre Collins-Parker earned from her 100th victory with the Aztecs on November 15 with a 3-2 win over Nevada. UNLV head coach Cindy Fredrick is just one win away from her 500th overall, while New Mexico head coach Jeff Nelson is four wins away from his 400th overall victory. Grayson DuBose, the head coach at Utah State, is six wins away from his 150th overall.
Bates Second Falcon to Reach 400 Digs: Air Force defensive specialist Rebecca Bates became the program’s second Division I player to accumulate at least 400 digs in a single season. The junior joined former Falcon Mayia Perich (419 in 2012, 400 in 2011) as the Academy’s only two DI players to reach the milestone. Bates currently has 424 digs this season.
Nobley Ties Rookie Mark: Boise State’s Sierra Nobley has tied the Broncos’ season record for kills by freshman with 354 as on November 13, matching Carmen Flunder’s mark from 2003.
Colaizzi Reaches 1,000: Colorado State junior Jaime Colaizzi became the 11th Ram in program history to tally 1,000 career digs on November 13. She currently has 1,024.
Kirby To Becom MW Matches Started Leader: If Wyoming senior Erin Kirby starts the November 19 match against Nevada, she will tie former teammate Jodi Purdy (2009-12) for the MW record for career matches started at 127. She would also move into a tie for seventh in career matches played (127) and is currently in third for career sets played at 468.
Glenn Records 1,000 Kills-1,000 Digs: UNLV senior Daryn Glenn became the seventh Mountain West and first UNLV student-athlete to master 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. Glenn joins the elite group of Conference players after recording her 1,000th kill at Fresno State on October 25.

Riddle Named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week: New Mexico senior Chantale Riddle was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week on November 4. Riddle became the ninth MW player to earn the honor.
Davies and Eppright Named Capital One® Academic All-District: UNLV senior Allison Davies was named to the Capital One® Academic All-District VIII First Team, while Fresno State sophomore Maggie Eppright was named to the Second Team.
Culbert Named espnW National Player of the Week: Colorado State junior Adrianna Culbert was named the espnW Volleyball Player of the Week on October 15.
Senior CLASS Award: Wyoming middle blocker Erin Kirby Was selected as a candidate for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award in collegiate volleyball. Kirby Was one of 30 student-athletes named to the list. Candidates must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition. CLASS is the acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®.
