CSU In Top 10: Colorado State remained at No. 9 in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll this week. The Rams have made 74 appearances in the top 10 over the program’s history, ranking 19th among all Division I teams.
Three With 20 Wins: Colorado State has recorded 20 wins for the 20th consecutive season. Entering the year, the streak ranked fifth in the nation. UNLV became the second MW team to reach the 20-win mark this season after a 3-1 victory over then-No. 7 Colorado State on November 1. It was the Rebels’ first win in program history over a Top-10 opponent. Wyoming is the third team to 20 victories after beating Fresno State 3-0 on November 8.
Rams Earn Six Consecutive Titles: Colorado State won its sixth consecutive Mountain West championship with a 3-0 win at Nevada on November 22. The Rams earned the MW automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will be making their 20th consecutive trip to the postseason event. CSU has won 12 of the league’s 16 regular season titles.
Riddle Closing In On MW Record: New Mexico senior Chantale Riddle currently has 1,601 career kills and became the Lobos’ all-time kill leader on November 15, passing Tania Gooley’s (1991-94) record of 1,579. Riddle is 21 kills away from surpassing the Mountain West record of 1,620 set by Utah’s Kim Turner (2000-03). She set the UNM points record on November 8 and currently has 1,887. The MW record of 2,065 points was also set by Turner.
Coaching Milestones: UNLV head coach Cindy Fredrick earned her 500th overall victory on November 19 with a 3-0 win at Utah State. Fredrick is in her 28th season as a collegiate head coach. The win also set a new UNLV mark for wins in overall and Conference victories in a season (25 and 13).
Air Force Sets Academy Block Record: Air Force closed out its home schedule with an institutional-best 35 blocks in a 3-2 win against Fresno State on November 19. Eight front row players recorded at least two blocks each with junior Taylor Parker pacing the group with eight.
Nobley Beats Rookie Mark: Boise State’s Sierra Nobley has set a Broncos’ season record for kills by freshman with 401 as of November 22. In the match on November 22, she posted a career-high single match total of 30 at UNLV. Nobley is the ninth Bronco all-time to reach the 400-kill season milestone.
Clement Reaches 1,000; Keltner Dishes 4,000: Air Force junior Akokwe Clement became the program’s fourth Division I player to tally 1,000 career kills on November 19. She currently has 1,014. Teammate Hillary Keltner became the third Falcon Division I setter to reach 4,000 assists in a career on Wednesday. She has 4,040 going into the season finale.
Kirby Becomes MW Matches Started Leader: Wyoming senior Erin Kirby took over the MW matches started record on November 22 at San José State with her 128th start, passing former teammate Jodi Purdy (127; 2009-12). She is tied for fifth in career matches played (128) and is currently in third for career sets played at 474.
Glenn Records 1,000 Kills-1,000 Digs: UNLV senior Daryn Glenn became the seventh Mountain West and first UNLV student-athlete to master 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. Glenn joins the elite group of Conference players after recording her 1,000th kill at Fresno State on October 25.

Riddle Named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week: New Mexico senior Chantale Riddle was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week on November 4. Riddle became the ninth MW player to earn the honor.
Davies and Eppright Named Capital One® Academic All-District: UNLV senior Allison Davies was named to the Capital One® Academic All-District VIII First Team, while Fresno State sophomore Maggie Eppright was named to the Second Team.
Culbert Named espnW National Player of the Week: Colorado State junior Adrianna Culbert was named the espnW Volleyball Player of the Week on October 15.
Senior CLASS Award: Wyoming middle blocker Erin Kirby Was selected as a candidate for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award in collegiate volleyball. Kirby Was one of 30 student-athletes named to the list. Candidates must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition. CLASS is the acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®.
