Facebook to Provide Viewers with Exclusive Access to 2016 Mountain West Men's Basketball Media Day

LAS VEGAS -- For the fourth consecutive year, the Mountain West Network on Campus Insiders will provide live coverage from MW Men's Basketball Media Day, which will be held Wednesday, October 12, at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel. This year, thanks to the league's partnership with Facebook, the Mountain West Network will also offer viewers unprecedented access throughout the media day festivities with over nine hours of live programming.

Mountain West media day coverage gets underway at 7:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday, October 12 with the announcement of its 2016-17 predicted order of finish and preseason All-Conference men's basketball honorees using Facebook Live on the MW's official Facebook page.

Beginning at 8 a.m. PT, fans will be able to engage with the Mountain West Network's live Media Day show, which will also be simulcast on Facebook Live. Jesse Kurtz and Stormy Buonantony will host the show and will be joined on set by head coaches and student-athletes representing each MW institution. Live coverage will shift gears from the MWN set to the "MW Social Media Room," which will be broadcast exclusively on the MW's official Facebook page. Participating student-athletes from each MW institution will join Stormy Buonantony in some light-hearted activities that will provide fans with an inside look into their personalities off the court. The shows will air exclusively on Facebook Live from 12:15 p.m. to approximately 3:55 p.m. PT. A complete breakdown of the schedule is as follows:
