COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico senior guard Deshawn Delaney has been named Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, Dec. 21. It is the first career MW weekly accolade for Delaney.

• Averaged 19.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in New Mexico victories over Central Arkansas (76-55) and in-state rival New Mexico State (69-67).
• Shot 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the field for the week, including 40.0 percent (2-of-5) from three-point range.
• Recorded the first 20-point, 10-rebound double-double of his career against Central Arkansas on Dec. 17, scoring a game- and career-high 22 points to go along with a personal-best 13 rebounds. He also had three assists, three steals and two blocks.
• Tallied 17 points and seven rebounds with four steals in the Lobos’ two-point win on Dec. 20 at New Mexico State.
• Shot 8-of-15 (.533) from the field against the Aggies.
