MW Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes Headed To NCAA West Preliminary

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – One hundred and forty-eight Mountain West student-athletes have qualified to compete in the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships West Preliminary on May 29-31 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

To earn a spot in the regional, competitors had to rank in the region’s top-48 of their event. The top-12 finishers at the West Regional will join the top-12 finishers from the East Regional at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.

Two student-athletes from San Diego State, sophomore Nicole Oudenaarden and senior Allison Reaser, along with Utah State junior Chari Hawkins, have already qualified for the NCAA Championships in the Heptathlon. There is no regional qualifier for the multi-events, with the top-24 individuals in the national rankings advancing on to Eugene.
