Five Teams Still Alive For Conference Title
We’re down to the final weekend of Conference play, and five teams are still mathematically alive for the league title. Boise State and Fresno State currently sit atop the MW standings with matching 14-7 records in league play. However, the Broncos own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bulldogs thanks to their 2-1 series win back in April. San Diego State is a game back at 13-8, followed by Colorado State and UNLV both at 12-9. The final weekend features Boise State playing at San Diego State, Fresno State at Nevada, Colorado State hosting San José State and Utah State at UNLV. Eight of the final 12 games will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network. See the first page for full details.
Glover Sets MW Record For Career Hits
Boise State senior centerfielder Tara Glover is the new all-time MW leader for career hits with 268, breaking the old mark of 265 set by BYU’s Angeline Quiocho (2007-10). Glover equaled and broke the record on April 29 in Boise State’s 11-5 win at Idaho State. She also ranks second all-time in the MW with 96 stolen bases.
