Conference Play Kicks Off On Friday
After spending the first six weeks of the season playing in various tournaments across the western United States, Mountain West softball teams will get their firs taste of Conference play this weekend. First-place Colorado State (15-5), winners of five straight, will face off against MW newcomer, Utah State (8-13) ... San Diego State (21-8) will play at New Mexico (8-18). The Lobos are 7-2 on their home field this season ... The final Conference matchup features Nevada (18-10), winners of six of its last seven games, playing at intra-state rival UNLV (10-16). San José State, meanwhile, will take part in the University of San Diego Tournament. All but one league game (Saturday’s San Diego State-New Mexico tilt), will be featured on the Mountain West Network.
