MW Women's Soccer Players of the Week - 11/2/15

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV’s Jordan Magnin has been named the Mountain West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Zoe Makrigiannis of San José State collected MW Defensive Player of the Week honors for matches played on Oct. 30. It is the first-career MW weekly nod for Magnin and third-career honor for Makrigiannis. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JORDAN MAGNIN, UNLV
Junior, Midfielder, Temecula, California / Temecula Valley HS
Tallied one goal and one assist to help UNLV clinch a berth in the MW Women’s Soccer Championship with a 3-1 win over Nevada on Oct. 30. 
Notched the contest’s opening goal in the first three minutes and later assisted on the game-winning score. 
Finished with three shots and one shot on goal.  

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ZOE MAKRIGIANNIS, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Senior, Goalkeeper, Surrey, B.C., Canada / Ecole Panorama Ridge Secondary
Earned her sixth shutout of the season in San José State’s 2-0 win over Fresno State on Oct. 30.
Registered three second-half saves in the victory against the Bulldogs. 
The win gave the Spartans the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye for the MW Championship.
