2013 NSCAA University Division Women's Scholar All-West Region Teams Announced
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fourteen Mountain West women's soccer players from five institutions were named to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) University Division Women's Scholar All-West Region Honorable Mention team.
To be nominated for the All-Region team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member; be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution; be in her second year at the current school if she is a transfer student; and submit the Junior or Senior College Scholar All-America GPA Certification and Signature Release Form. The NSCAA Scholar Athletes of the Year are selected by the national selection committee from all levels of the Scholar All-America teams.
New Mexico led all Mountain West institutions with six players on the Honorable Mention team, followed by UNLV with four, Utah State two and Wyoming and Air Force each with one player.
