Rebels Off To Fast Start

For the first time since 2010, UNLV has won its first two games to open the season. The Rebels defeated Northern Arizona 2-1 on Aug. 22, then slipped past Grand Canyon 3-2 in overtime on Aug. 24. Sophomore forward Isabelle Delgado's golden goal came just 49 seconds into the extra session.

Boise State Bullish On D

In its first two contests of 2014, Boise State has surrendered just one goal, while registering four goals of its own. The Broncos blanked Drake 3-0 to open the season on Aug. 22, then played Portland State to a 1-1 draw on Aug. 24. Freshman goalkeeper Janelle Flores started both matches and did not allow a goal in her 135 minutes of action, earning her Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Schweiss Guides Colorado College Past Denver

Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, junior midfielder Sarah Schweiss, scored the tying and game-winning goals in the Tigers' rally from a 2-0 deficit to top then-No. 25 Denver on Aug. 24 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Schweiss also scored a pair of goals in Colorado College's 3-2 loss at Northern Colorado on Aug. 22.
