Mountain West Announces Low, Arns as Interns for 2013-14 Academic Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson has named Courtni Low as the MW Sports Administration Intern and Olivia Arns as the MW Network Intern. They will begin their duties on August 19 and serve in their respective capacities for the 2013-14 academic year.

Low joins the Mountain West after serving most recently as the Director of Operations for volleyball at UNLV. In her position at the MW, Low will work in the areas of sport administration, compliance, championships and communications with other duties as assigned by the Commissioner.

In addition to her work with the Rebel volleyball program, the Henderson, Nevada native served as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Athletics (2009-2011) and worked with UNLV facility, events and game day staff (2007-2011). She also assisted the MW in game day operations of the Mountain West Basketball Championships from 2009-2011. A 2011 graduate of UNLV, Low was a member of the Rebels cheerleading squad, which won the 2012 National Championship.

A 2013 graduate of the University of Missouri, Arns comes to the Mountain West with a strong background in on-camera reporting, editing and camera work. At Missouri, Arns served as a sports reporter for the Mizzou Network, where she assisted in filming and reporting for Tiger Athletics. She also spent time as a reporter and anchor at KOMU-TV8 and MUTV Sports while studying in Columbia. A native of Barrington Hills, Ill., Arns has also interned with Comcast-Spectator/3601 Creative Group and WGN-TV in Chicago.

While at the Mountain West, Arns will shoot and edit video packages, as well as develop and implement video content promoting the Conference and its member institutions. She will also research, write and produce online features for the network.
