The 2013 Mountain West women's soccer season gets underway Friday, Aug. 23 with all 11 institutions in action. Three teams open the season at home, while defending MW champion San Diego State is one of four teams that begin the season in tournament play.

The Aztecs, ranked No. 11 in both the Soccer America and NSCAA/Continental Tire Preseason Top 25 polls, takes on USC in a neutral site match at the University of San Diego as part of the USD Tournament. MW newcomer San José State also plays in the tournament. Air Force and Wyoming, meanwhile, are each are competing in the Montana Kickoff Invitational.

Colorado State opens its inaugural season with a neutral site contest. They'll face Lubbock Christian at Texas Tech University.
