The Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will live stream 16 MW baseball games from Feb. 26-March 3.

Mountain West action continues this weekend with San José State at Nevada and Air Force at UNLV. New Mexico will be the final team to start MW play on March 7 at UNLV. The MW’s seven teams will play 30 intra-league games to determine a regular-season champion and seeding for the 2014 Mountain West Baseball Championship, May 21-25, at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas.

Fresno State took over the top spot in the league standings with a 3-0 sweep of Nevada to start Conference action last week.

New Mexico ended up with the first tie game played by a Mountain West team in almost a decade. UNM was tied with Northern Illinois, 3-3, after 10 innings on Sunday, Feb. 23. The game was called so that the Huskies could catch their flight back to DeKalb. The last game played to a tie was a 3-3 outing by newcomer San José State against former MW member BYU on Feb. 26, 2005.

Air Force freshman Griffin Jax earned the first win of his career on Feb. 23 as the Falcons beat Navy 9-1 to win the weekend series 2-1. Jax only allowed the one run in seven innings pitched. He also scored the game-winning run as the Falcons’ clean-up hitter, going 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI.
