The Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will live stream 13 MW baseball games from May 6-13.

UNLV and New Mexico are tied for the top spot in the Mountain West standings with records of 16-8, while Nevada and San Diego State follow closely in third and fourth place, respectively. MW teams will play 30 intra-league games to determine a regular-season champion and seeding for the 2014 Mountain West Baseball Championship, May 21-25, at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas.

San Diego State senior Tim Zier became the Aztecs’ all-time leader in career hits on May 4 with No. 284. The second baseman ranks 10th in the MW.

Air Force sophomore outfielder Spencer Draws earned national Player of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball on April 21. San Diego State sophomore pitcher Bubba Derby earned the honor on April 7.

New Mexico senior Josh Walker is three wins away from becoming the Mountain West’s all-time leader in victories. Over three seasons, Walker has recorded 25 wins. Kyle Winkler of TCU holds the record with 27 from 2009-11.

San Diego State junior pitcher Michael Cederoth was named to the initial National Pitcher of the Year Award, sponsored by Diamond, watch list.

Cederoth and New Mexico sophomore Victor Sanchez have been named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year mid-season watch list.

UNLV junior pitcher Erick Fedde was named to the mid-season Golden Spikes Award watch list. The Golden Spikes Award recognizes the top amateur baseball player in the nation.

New Mexico junior Alex Real has been named to the Johnny Bench Award watch list. The award is presented annually to the top catcher in college baseball.
