The Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will live stream all 10 MW women’s basketball games this week.

Mountain West action reaches the halfway point this week with 10 games on the slate. Colorado State sits in first place with a 6-1 record, followed by Fresno State at 6-2. Boise State and UNLV are tied for third at 5-2. The MW’s 11 teams will play 18 intra-league games to determine a regular-season champion and seeding for the 2014 Reese’s Mountain West Women’s Basketball Championship, March 10-15, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Colorado State won at New Mexico on Jan. 25, 62-57, for the first time since 1998. The Rams trailed by three with 1:26 left in the game before junior Gritt Ryder registered seven points and two rebounds, including the game-winning three-pointer, for the victory. At 14-4, CSU is off to its best season start in 12 years.

Utah State senior Jennifer Schlott is just 13 assists from tying Taylor Richards all-time Aggies’ assist record of 371 career assists. Schlott is also currently fourth on the Aggies all-time career scoring list with 1,185 points, eight points away from moving into third place.

Air Force’s Cherae Medina ranks 10th all-time on the Falcons NCAA I-era single-season assists list with 74 and 10th on the program’s career assists list with 217. She is third on the career list among players from the Division I era.

Utah State senior Jennifer Schlott was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list last week. The award honors the top point guardin the nation and is given by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Schlott leads the Mountain West with 23.9 points and 6.3 assists per game.

New Mexico senior Sara Halasz has been named an official nominee for the Allstate Good Works Team® by the Women’s Basketball Coaches of America (WBCA). Halasz is one of only 84 NCAA Division I women’s basketball athletes to be named a candidate for the award. The Good Works Team® honors college basketball players who represent good teamwork, community service and leadership.
